“Usually Ob/Gyn is the specialty with the happy ending. You help the mother have a healthy baby girl or boy and everyone is happy. As a woman, I have a lot in common with my patients. I can identify with the problems women face from the teenage years to the golden years: dating, raising children, menopause and aging. Yet I’m always there with a helping hand.
“I enjoy my job when I have done my best, when I’m able to put my needs on the back burner to help others. I can be at peace and have true joy when I put my problems in God’s hands. I don’t take credit for the wisdom He gives me. I am thankful and grateful.
“We are family here, and I wear many hats. I can be granny, girlfriend, sister, mamma, whatever the patient needs but I always care for them like family. Always remembering that we are here to serve, not to be served.”
